## **HPOD's Annual Open House**

Each year, the Harvard Law School Project on Disability (HPOD) welcomes the community to learn more about its ongoing [research, capacity-building, and awareness-raising](https://us.list-manage.com/qO4eUB4HBFg?e=af680abad5&c2id=c1ede007159dede7f10b5085b52dd22c) activities aimed at enabling civil society to undertake informed disability scholarship and advocacy across an array of issue areas. This year, join the HPOD team on **September 23rd**, from **12:20 to 1:20pm** US Eastern time, in **Hauser Hall Room 102 (the Malkin classroom).**

Co-founders, **Professors Bill Alford** and **Michael Stein**, will be joined by HPOD’s Senior Director for East Asia **Dr. Fengming Cui**; Director of Advocacy Initiatives **Hezzy Smith**; and Self-Advocacy Associate **Anne Fracht** to discuss HPOD activities ranging from [disability-inclusive climate action and research](https://us.list-manage.com/14R9C0qLjVo?e=af680abad5&c2id=c1ede007159dede7f10b5085b52dd22c) and [disability legal scholarship in East Asia](https://us.list-manage.com/FCYhd197Ehg?e=af680abad5&c2id=c1ede007159dede7f10b5085b52dd22c) to [participatory research](https://us.list-manage.com/ZZzl3beOMJg?e=af680abad5&c2id=c1ede007159dede7f10b5085b52dd22c) designed and conducted with persons with disabilities and [human rights reporting](https://us.list-manage.com/11DmOut0YaC?e=af680abad5&c2id=c1ede007159dede7f10b5085b52dd22c) to United Nations treaty bodies on priority issues for persons with intellectual disabilities, and much more.
