Each year, the Harvard Law School Project on Disability (HPOD) welcomes the community to learn more about its ongoing [**research, capacity-building, and awareness-raising**](https://hpod.law.harvard.edu/news/in-review/hpod-spring-2025) activities aimed at enabling civil society to undertake informed disability scholarship and advocacy across an array of issue areas. Join the HPOD team once again this year on **September 17th**, from **12:20 to 1:30pm** US Eastern time, in the **Morgan Courtroom**, located on the third floor of [**Austin Hall**](https://hls.harvard.edu/facilities/buildings-overview/austin-hall/).

Co-founders, **Professors Bill Alford** and **Michael Stein**, will be joined by HPOD's Senior Director for East Asia **Dr. Fengming Cui**; Director of Advocacy Initiatives **Hezzy Smith**; and Self-Advocacy Associate **Anne Fracht** to discuss HPOD activities ranging from [**disability-inclusive climate action and research**](https://hpod.law.harvard.edu/news/entry/disability-inclusive-climate-resilience) and [**disability legal scholarship in East Asia**](https://hcf.fas.harvard.edu/our-impact/promoting-dignity-disability-china/) to [**participatory research**](http://hpod.law.harvard.edu/news/entry/supported-decision-making-is-about-us) designed and conducted with persons with disabilities and [**human rights reporting**](https://hpod.law.harvard.edu/news/entry/shadow-reporting-self-advocacy) to United Nations treaty bodies on priority issues for persons with intellectual disabilities, and much more.
