Work Accommodations

Any employee with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity and impacts her/his ability to perform the essential functions of a job may request to explore possible coverage under the Americans with Disabilities Act and associated reasonable accommodation. Major life activities include, but are not limited to, caring for oneself, performing manual tasks, seeing, hearing, eating, sleeping, walking, standing, lifting, bending, speaking, breathing, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, communicating, and working.

Employees should refer to the Reasonable Accommodation Fact Sheet and Request for Reasonable Accommodation Form.

All requests should be submitted to University Disability Services (UDS) located in the Richard A. & Susan F. Smith Campus Center (formerly Holyoke Center) Suite 727W or by contacting us at disabilityservices@harvard.edu or 617-495-1859.
